Chair Skin (forest green) 2006
altered recliner, felt and gabardine

Mounted vertically on the wall is a large symmetrical form. Measuring approximately eight feet high by five feet wide, its “forest green” color is bordered by one inch of off-white felt, and one inch of black gabardine creating its outermost edge. Resembling the pelt of a large game animal, all but the forms “head” is entirely flat. The rug is the result of skinning a reclining chair.
